The XVth International Silage Conference is being held in Madison, Wisconsin and hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the U.S. Dairy Forage Research Center of the USDA, Agricultural Research Service.


Madison is located in south central Wisconsin, approximately 125 km west of Milwaukee and 225 km northwest of Chicago. Madison has a population of more than 220,000. It is the capital of the State of Wisconsin and situated among five lakes. It is home to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the largest public university in the state with more than 40,000 students.

The conference will be held at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center. This Frank Lloyd Wright-designed building is in the heart of Madison, overlooking beautiful Lake Monona and just a few blocks from the State Capitol. Within walking distance are shops, museums, restaurants and galleries.
